New Meeting Spot!

Hello everyone!
We have moved our club location on Friday's to Ms. Oneill's room which is room 143! She is very kind to let us use her room for anime viewing, so make sure you thank her properly. Room 143 is located at the end of junior hall. We will be having discussions in our original room on Wednesdays. Thank you for being patient with our current situation!
Also, fund me and my buddies at http://www.gofundme.com/takeustocanada.

See you all soon!

Discussions and Whatnot

GREETINGS SHEEPLINGS!

Hello! I am so glad everyone has been attending anime club this past week or so! It's so exciting seeing new people. I didn't even know there was so many people who were interested.
Anyway, I wanted help brainstorming ideas! I want to know what we should discuss, activities we should do, and more.
There are a few things I would like to plan and do.
I would like to...;
1. Have a day where we all do a short group bonding activity!

2. Maybe plan some sort of day-trip on the weekend.

3. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd discussions about new animes and things going on in Japan.

I definitely would like to talk about Halloween and Cosplay at some point. Aaanndd I should probably discuss something that has to do with the position of vice president. So I need ideas on how to do that too.

I WOULD LOVE FEEDBACK IN THE COMMENTS!

Welcome to the LHS 2014 Anime Club Blog!

Greetings everyone! I hope you don't mind the Blog's new look. Denali did an excellent job at getting the ball rolling with this, but Web design and Graphic Arts are what I do best, so I decided to put some of my skills to good use to better the club, hence the new background and this character, which will appear on the posters for the club and maybe even a T-Shirt.
LHS Anime Club Mascot

My name is Joseph James Tomlinson. Some of you probably already know me from last year, but for those who don't I was pretty much the second in command of the club. I can speak a bit of Japanese and I like to consider myself a huge nerd. I program games, draw, work on computers and create user interfaces. Last year I brought my laptop and used it to show anime to everyone, so I'll be at the club everyday in order to continue doing that.

I really look forward to our club activities and I'm glad that they're so many people interested. We've got a lot of page views considering how new this blog is.

I'd like to thank Denali for setting all of this up, She's a much better leader than our last leader, (No offense Blake) and she's been working really hard to get the club started.

See you all Wednesdays and Fridays in room 116 during lunch! I can't wait to decide on what Anime we'll be watching.

Oh and by the way, if anyone can help me come up for a name for the character, let me know.

A little bit about myself

HELLLOOO WORSHIP THE LIZZIE GOD

I'd like to electronically introduce myself, if I don't get enough club time to. My name is Denali Hall. I'm a junior. I had a really rough time at Lincoln last year because of personal reasons (I shalln't say on such public places). I have had an anxiety disorder since elementary school. I also have a serious shy tendency and a social phobia, which makes public speaking a challenge for me. I hope to get along with everyone at this club. I will announce it during club hours, but being silent when I need to get attention is EXTREMELY helpful to me. I am a great organizer and I hope to special in psychology someday (meaning I have a special knack for knowing how people tick). My favorite anime is Future Diary and Toradora. I am a sucker for romance anime and manga. I have a huge collection of anime merchandise, manga books, DVDs, games, and more. I have recently fallen in love with a game called Akiba's Trip: Undead and Undressed (please don't look this up).

I have lots of internet buddies but I don't really have any friends who are seriously interested in anime the way I am. I have internet friends that I mostly vent to (cough ian cough gib cough marryme). My goal for the year is to get all A's in my six classes so I can un-screw-up my GPA from last year. I also want to make this club super fun, and possibly meet a lover who will love melikeshoujomangaeventhoughthatstuffdoesntexistinreallifewhatevericandreamimalsointerestedingirlsnojokebutyeah.

I would love to get to know you too! Shoot me an email or comment below. Thanks for letting me rant.

Emails Sent!

Ahhh! It's my bedtime and I still have homework to do!
Woah, we got over 60 names and emails today. I was expecting like ten. That means I have to write them all down on the computer. Almost ten people's emails didn't work the first time, so I kept re-entering different combinations and interpretations to get it right. Only one person was left out of my email. But now I'm tired.

ANYWAY. If you forgot or didn't receive an email, we are meeting next Friday (9/26) in Mr. Gutlerner's room (room 116 in senior hall, weird corridor). Be sure to thank him if you run into him! We will meet every Wednesday and Friday lunch from there on out. We will have discussion and video viewing. If you chose to eat in this room, PLEASE pick up your trash. Leave the room more clean then you found it. Mr. G really wouldn't like to clean up after a bunch of students, since he is sacrificing his room to us.

I hope to see you all soon.

Pre-anime Club Meeting

First Anime Club Meeting!

As many of you heard, there is a pre-meeting in Jordan Gutlerner's room on Wednesday, September 17th. It will be an informal meeting about the club fair at lunch. I will need a few helpers during the club fair, and hopefully people who are willing to sacrifice their self dignity and subtly hint to passerby's to check it out. I have created this blog to inform and give extra tidbits of our forming. I will include pictures, and just random daily log posts. Please check this website as much as you can.
Thank you for joining!
